Hamburg 2009..Roma Holocaust "Porrajmos", the Roma word means literally "the devouring", where it is estimated that between 500 thousand and one and a half million Roma were exterminated across Germany, Poland, ex-Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia during the 1930s and 1940s. The Roma were the first race to be subjected to experimentation by the Nazis, as part of Joseph Goebbels' 'Final Solution'.
