Europe, England, Sussex. English Carnival Bonfire Season. They commemorate the attempted destruction of the Houses of Parliment by Guy Fawkes on Nov 5th 'The Gunpowder Plot'. Also the killing of Protestant martyrs by the Catholics, Pagan rites, the world wars and various other historical events.
