Zigeunerlager Commemoration Auschwitz Birkenau

Laying wreaths at the 67th Anniversary. Memorial to murdered Roma and Sinti in the concentration camp at the so-called Zigeunerlager, the concentration camp hut for Roma and Sinti. Auschwitz II Birkenau, Oswiecim Poland ..Roma Holocaust "Porrajmos", the Roma word means literally "the devouring", where it is estimated that between 500 thousand and one and a half million Roma were exterminated across Germany, Poland, ex-Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia during the 1930s and 1940s. The Roma were the first race to be subjected to experimentation by the Nazis, as part of Joseph Goebbels' 'Final Solution'.
