Roma Holocaust 67th anniversary. Attended by Roma survivors and families of survivors and victims. Commemoration at Crematorium V, where many Roma were exterminated. Auschwitz II Birkenau, Oswiecim Poland ..Roma Holocaust "Porrajmos", the Roma word means literally "the devouring", where it is estimated that between 500 thousand and one and a half million Roma were exterminated across Germany, Poland, ex-Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia during the 1930s and 1940s. The Roma were the first race to be subjected to experimentation by the Nazis, as part of Joseph Goebbels' 'Final Solution'.
