• SEX INDUSTRY TOURISM. South East Asia, Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Taxi girls, prostitutes, serve foriegn tourists & Khmer, Cambodians. The sex industry is part of the fabric, servicing all classes of Cambodian society. Girls are forced into prostitution because of poverty and corruption that exists across the country. People might earn 1 to 2 $ per day, even less in rural areas, so the lure of prostitution is high. Families can sell young girls, virgins, for several hundred dollars. Cheap brothels line the streets in parts of the city centre, near railway tracks, and on the periphery. Sex for Cambodians at cheap prices in the street brothels, as low as 1 $ US, to exorbitant fees in penthouse hotel suites for the rich. Sex tourism industry attracts Western and Asian tourists typically paying 10 - 30 $ US. Expressions such as 'yam yam', eating, for a blowjob 'bam bam' for intercourse. There are 'lady-boys', youths, who use the money to pay for sex change operations. Prostitutes spend lots of money on make-up, clothes, and mobile telephones. They live in squalor. Due to public advertising campaigns and outreach work, Aids and HIV cases have dramatically decreased, in Cambodia, since the late '90s. Condoms are encouraged, are cheap and widely available. This is seen as a success story by medical and health authorities. There are risks as ex-prostitutes known as 'sweethearts' don't use condoms with their partners. Brothels, v & madams take their cut, but many taxi-girls work as free agents. Bars, pool halls or beer gardens have staff and taxi-girls available to service male clients, some work as barmaids or escorts. There is violence against prostitutes; gang-rape and murder by Khmer gangs. Once a girl has worked as a prostitute it is unlikely she can ever marry.///Taxi girls, prostitutes, playing pool, idling the time away and showing off their bodies, waiting for Western tourists..

Once a girl has worked as a prostitute it is unlikely she can ever marry.///Prostitutes hug a european tourist in a pool bar, trying to lure him to pay to have sex with them...

An Amazonian tribal chief Almir Narayamogo, leader of 1350 Surui Indians in Rondônia, near Cacaol, Brazil, with a $100,000 bounty on his head, is fighting for the survival of his people and their forest, and using the world’s modern hi-tech tools; computers, smartphones, Google Earth and digital forestry surveillance. So far their fight has been very effective, leading to a most promising and novel result. In 2013, Almir Narayamogo, led his people to be the first and unique indigenous tribe in the world to manage their own REDD+ carbon project and sell carbon credits to the industrial world. By marketing the CO2 capacity of 250 000 hectares of their virgin forest, the forty year old Surui, has ensured the preservation, as well as a future of his community.

In 2009, the four clans and 25 Surui villages voted in favour of a total moratorium on logging and the carbon credits project.

They still face deforestation problems, such as illegal logging, and gold mining which causes pollution of their river systems

 • Youth with bicycle tyre. Sheep and cattle market during Ramadan after the Durbar Fantasia in Kano..The implementation of Islamic Sharia Law across the twelve northern states of Nigeria, centres upon Kano, the largest Muslim Husa city, under the feudal, political and economic rule of the Emir of Kano. Islamic Sharia Law is enforced by official state apparatus including military and police, Islamic schools and education, plus various volunteer Militia groups supported financially and politically by the Emir and other business and political bodies. Fanatical Islamic Sharia religious traditions are enforced by the Hispah Sharia police. Deliquancy is controlled by the Vigilantes volunteer Militia. Activities such as Animist Pagan Voodoo ceremonies, playing music, drinking and gambling, normally outlawed under Sharia law exist as many parts of the rural and urban areas are controlled by local Mafia, ghetto gangs and rural hunters. The fight for control is never ending between the Emir, government forces, the Mafia and independent militias and gangs. This is fueled by rising petrol costs, and that 70% of the population live below the poverty line. Kano, Kano State, Northern Nigeria, Africa
