Roma Gypsies victims of racism and discrimination, often forcibly evicted or moved from one camp to another, marginalized, living on the periphery of urban centres. The Roma Gypsies originated from India where they left over a thousand years before. Tribes moved across Euroasia eventually arriving in Europe in the 14th century. They have survived 500 years of slavery and persecution. They moved from place to place, often nomadic in search of work. Now many live in container camps, some are unemployed, others work the markets, or import export. Rome, Italy.

  • TRANSPORT TRAIN. Snow, Arctic temperatures and big freeze in Paris, France. A young woman admires Paris covered in snow from her seat on a metro train carriage. She has been talking pictures with her digital camera. Temperatures plummeted below zero, as low as -9. Very rarely, certainly not for decades, that Paris has experienced such freezing cold weather. Snow normally disappears in a couple of hours, this time it stuck around for days. Freak weather conditions and climate change can often be attributed to global warming and the ozone layer.
